The Premier Baseball Social Network for Players, Coaches, Scouts, and Umpires

Hi All,

As anyone who has read my profile knows I'm involved in one of if not the best Baseball League currently in Australia.

Our next season start NEXT October and i am putting out the expression of interest for anyone who is interested in coming over and playing around Brisbane Queensland next season.

i know a lot of other coaches who look for imports every season and i would be glad to offer help to anyone who wants to play.

Just so you can get a grasp of the league quality, the last series my team played we faced a guy who is with the twins. stands around 6"7 throwing near 90MPH. we also saw a righty whos playing with the Nationals-AA and is throwing 90-93MPH. the team also had 5 other guys who either have been or still are under contract with organisations. we split the 2 game series with them.

It almost a weekly thing to see teams with 1 or more pro signed player. pitches throwing mid to upper 80's if not higher. Some Americans who play in the league say its around a very solid A-Ball standard.

There is 13 teams in our Major A-Grade competition.

We play 32-36 season games with post season. 2 games a week - Friday night and Sunday.

Yes i know i am posting this VERY early, but these things take time to organise.

Hey Scott,

How ya goin' mate? Good post...and a good idea to recruit/advertise ahead of time.
Just curious...do you have any women playing in the Majors? I thought maybe Simone Wearne or maybe one other girl...but they might be in NSW or down around Melbourne.

Thanks, mate.

Cheers,

Tiff

hi hi.

Here in Brisbane i believe we have a rule, which i dont agree with in principle, but females are only allowed to play Major B-Grade at the highest. but with that said, there isn't many females who play anyways in our competition.

our league runs 3 levels of "major" competition.

Major A-Grade plays 2 games a week then there is Major B and Major C which only play on Sunday.

there is on young girl up here who plays Major B-Grade and i think she is doing alright as well.

but we do have a female national competition, each state has a team and they play tournaments over the year.

Howdy. I am very interested in playing on the other side of the earth next October. I am a senior at Colorado Christian University. I am a lefty pitcher that throws 82-84. My brother also plays here. He is a lefty as well and throws 85-88. Is there a chance we could play together down there?

My name is Melvin Perdue and I'm a baseball player looking for an opportunity to continue my career overseas. I am a recent college graduate, graduating May '09 I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere. I played this summer for two high level semi pro teams out of California, and did very well. I am looking to continue my career overseas. I have some opportunities to continue my career here in the states playing professional independent, however I would much rather prefer playing overseas. Im a Utility player, starting most of my college career games at CF/LF/2B. My stats are available and a VIDEO of me is posted below. I love this game and give 100% everytime I step on the field. Just looking for an opportunity overseas. Thank you very much.. MY VIDEO LINK BELOW.. mperdue3@gmail.com
