Is it Bad Coaching or is it something else

this year we had move to a new town in the south. We have played travel baseball with my son that is 13year old. We had goten on a new young team that was there first year out of league ball. I have 2 older kids that I coached that went to college and are out now. We have had a bad season this year with 5/29/1 year that mean nothing to me as it not about winning.The head coach has made it clear that he was the coach of this team. he said also that he would be the new Jr high coach in 2013.I said all this to set the mood here.

Is it Bad Coaching or is it something else

We have boys that will be going out for Jr high school  ball and this coach has told the not to try out for school, even the other day we had a kid pitching in a game and the definders was not stopping ball hit down SS or third base in 4 attempts. The coach gose out and pull the pitcher and place him at third base as that where he plays most of the time and place the third base man in as pitcher.the new pitcher walk the next 6 batters and he leaves him in to continue pitching. I ask him why he did it and his words to me was"I don't have any other player that can stop the ball on that side but him"(not mine son)

As we continue talking he become mad at me for qustioning him, that he ask us not to back and play ball with them the next day in a two day turnment. My son was not in qustion, but found out he had done this 6 weeks earlier to a dad for qustioning him as well.I didn't know this to after our talk.

Was I right or wrong for talking to the coach about what he did or dose it sound like I was in the wrong? I just qustion how come he pull the pitcher.

Has anything like this happen to you  and what do you think I need to do?

By the way we move on and got another team and won 14 year old state this year.it was a good move on our part. But we will haft to play at this school that he said he is becoming coach of jr high.
