I'm considering purchasing a Phiten necklace or one of the comparable Brett Bros. ionic necklaces. I've had people tell me varying accounts of how well they work in terms of keeping you calm and balanced on the field. I wanted to get a bigger sample size. Anybody that's worn these type of necklaces, any opinion of how well or if they work? Any brand recommendations?
Thanks,
Karl Roman

When are you going to be in Viera? (Nationals Spring training) I live not but 5 minutes from the Stadium

Not sure. This will be my first time doing the circuit. I know I'm landing in Orlando tomorrow and headed towards Tampa to spend the night or two and call on teams in that area. I will then begin to make my way south from there on Friday. I wouldn't mind meeting up with you while I'm in town. I most certainly could do a good job of explaining EFX better to you. Here is my cell # 949-874-7764. Call me on Thursday and maybe you can help me figure out my trip. Thanks! Mark

Mark, I sent you my address as a Message on Facebook. I'll try out the wristband and let you know what I think. Let us know where we should contribute our reviews of the product.

Got the Package today, I will Put them on some of my guys bats on sunday and see what we get! Thanks!
Mark,

Got the package just in time for our doubleheader vs a pretty good high school team. In California, it's illegal to wear the necklaces as they present a safety concern. So, I gave the units to the guys who "normally" wear the necklaces, as they will have a pre-conceived positive spin on these to begin with. I'll let you know how they reported back.

Well, I'm sad to say that I remain a skeptic. That said, as I stated in my original post above, Crash Davis had it right. Respect the streak. If you think it works, then it does. There is something to be said for player quirks and rituals.

There might be a placebo effect for these things (and the magnetic bands), but after 3 games of high school baseball, we didn't notice the effects as claimed by the manufacturer on either the hitters or the pitchers who tried them. Maybe after some of the double blind studies are published, we'll know more.

Can you explain what you did to test these out? Where did they wear them when did they wear them, when did they take them off. This info is critical. I just returned home from spending teh past 5 days in Florida visiting all 15 MLB Clubs. After testing and playing with them on, the majority of teh players, especially pitchers said that they most definitely feel the dirrerence. Especially those who wore them the entire day and night especially while they slept!

What were you looking for while the kids played with the technology on? Balance, Endurance, Flexibility, Recovery? How did you measure any of these things. Like I said and I will say it again, youshould be wearing this technology 24/7 to give it a real genuine test. Thanks! - Mark

Our games were a rain out. But I put one on my sons Bat at his Coach pitch game and he went 2/3, not the strongest hitter just yet, but I will continue to watch as he is batting to see with out telling him about it so that there is no placebo effect on him.

I will let you know how they work on our team this sunday

Well, the literature says " immediate increase in balance, strength," etc. I had each player read the info you gave me so that they would understand the product claims. I gave one card to our 1B, another to my catcher. They stored the cards in their back pocket. The pitchers each wore the bracelet on their glove hands underneath the wrist straps. Before the games, we did the balance test. No discernable difference. During the games, no noted difference.

Again, this is only anecdotal evidence. A true double-blind study proving/refuting the product would be better than any of the discussions we have here.

Ted - I wished you lived closer so I could come down myself and show you how to do each test correctly. I just spent this past week doing just that... testing balance, strength and flexibility with the players from 13 of the 15 MLB teams in Florida. They were able to see immediate results for each testing category. As a result of each of the tests I did, EVERY team has taken on EFX in their clubhouse. These are the most sceptical guys on the planet. These Head Trainiers are the true professionals and they take their jobs very seriously and have seen it all. Yet they are the ones who are finally convinced after spending time with me and using the product and seeing it demonstrated properly. Your pitchers should be wearing the technology before the start of the game - during warm ups, during the game and especially after the game to see how well they recover. That's a real test. Most MLB players said that they would wear it for five to seven days straight, then take it off to see if they feel the effects of not havng it on. I know this works and works well... otherwise I would not have spent the money out of my own pocket on purchasing the samples and postage for the care package I mailed out to you and the rest of the guys in this discussion.

I have a suggestion, check with Paul Reddick and Jon "Zinger" Huizinga from www.90mphclub.com Ask them their take on the product and the benefits. I'm sure that they will be very truthful with you. Thanks! - Mark

Mark,
I have a product that I would like to present at spring training as well. How do you go about
getting to do that? The product does not compete with the EFX products in any way. I am curious
to how I can present my product like you are. Any help or contacts you can share would be great.
Thank you.
