Hi does anyone have any info or links or contacts for any pro winter leagues. I know of Australia there season is in our winter, there is also an Italian winter league, south Africa and some south American winter leagues like Columbia, mexico, Niccuaraga and Venezulea. I played d-1 college baseball, independent minor league ball and pro internatioanlly in Europe. Im trying to find somewhere to play for the winter season septemeber- february. If anyone knows or has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Any links, contacts, emails or whatever will be great thank you

Hey Chris! I would contact the Golden Baseball League directly and simply ask them for information on their Winter League and they will steer you in the right direction. The league itself is a pay to play league and it is quite expensive, but the exposure you will receive will more than make up for the cost involved. I hope this helps!

Hello Chris! Check with the Golden Baseball League as they put on a winter league that runs for a couple of months that is heavily scouted by other leagues looking for players for the following season. It is quite expensive, but if you can afford the fee the exposure you will receive for a future contract would be very high! I hope this helps and take care,

You could checkout the East LA Dodgers. They have a winter program that I have heard is pretty competitive.

WWW.HENRYSBASEBALLCLUB.COM 781 891 0621 I PLACE PLAYERS IN FALL AND WINTER BASEBALL. I HAVE THE CELL PHONE FOR THE FIELD MANAGERS. HE IS THE ONE THAT TRYES YOU OUT AND GIVES YOU THE PLAYING TIME. WITH OUT HIM IN YOUR CORNER YOU HAVE ZIPO. BEST TO GET GOOD AT ONE POSITION ONLY. ON PRO BASEBALL THE CLOSER DOES NOT BECOME THE CATCHER.

Hi there thanks for the info, can you give me a little more info on this Henry? And yes I know its best to have one position lol, In independent ball in the USA I was a pitcher, but in college and this season playing professionaly I also doubled as a good OF and 1b as well as some 2b. As some international teams need you to play more and for my good bat. Where do you place these players what leagues and what types and how do I get the oppurtunity, well thanks for the input look foward to hearing.

LOOK AROUND MY SITE. I POSTED A PRO CONTRACT. I SIGNED 4 PLAYERS AT A TRYOUT IN NEWTON,MASS. LAST FALL. THERE IS A SCOUT LIST. I HAVE A LIST OF 1,300 PRO BASEBALL SCOUTS. IT IS DEVIDED BY EAST, CENTRAL AND WEST. ALSO I HAVE A LIST OF CROSS CHECKERS AND SUPERVISORS, AND 30 SCOUTING DIRECTORS. IF I FIND A PLAYER THAT LOOKS ENTRY LEVEL PRO I EMAIL OR CALL THE SCOUT IN HIS REGION TO GET HIM ON THE SCOUTS RADAR. HE IS INVITED TO SEND A PLAYER PROFILE, A LIST OF HIS GAMES AND A BASEBALL TYPE PICTURE SO THE SCOUT KNOWS WHO TO LOOK FOR. HE WILL ALSO IN FUTURE TIME BE INVITED TO PRIVATE WORK OUT FOR THE SCOUT THAT WOULD LIKE TO SIGN HIM. I WAS AT MC COY STADIUM THIS MORNING THE AAA FIELD IN PAWTUCKET,RI. THE RED SOX HAVE A ONCE A YEAR TRYOUT THERE SO FOR THE PEOPLE THAT MISSED 7/7/2009 TRYOUT IT WILL BE THERE IN ANOTHER YEAR ON A DIFERENT DATE AT 9 AM, REGISTRATION AT 8:30 AM. I KNOW THAT IN AMATURE BASEBALL YOU PLAY WHERE YOU WANT TO PLAY AND THEY ARE HAPPY YOU SHOWED UP. BUT PRO MEANS BODY TYPES. IN THE PAST THE BROCKTON ROCKS INDEPENDENT HAD A 1ST BASEMAN THAT WAS 6'8" ABOUT 250 LBS A WHITE GUY. HIS BACKUP WAS A BLACK GUY 6'6" ABOUT 245 LBS. THE 3RD BASEMAN WAS 6'3" 230 LBS. THE CURENT CATCHERS ARE 6'5" 230LBS AND THE BACKUP IS 6'3" 225. AND THEY EXPECT YOU TO SPECIALIZE AT YOUR POSITION. THE OTHER DIFERENCE OF PRO AND AMATURE IS THERE ARE OVER 5,000 PLAYERS READY TO TAKE YOUR SPOT IN PRO BASEBALL, THEY WANT THAT BIG PAYDAY. SORRY TO INFORM YOU BUT A SCOUT IS NOT GOING TO WALK UP THE DRIVEWAY AND HAND YOU A CONTRACT, THAT IS IN A MOVIE. IN REAL LIFE YOU PACK A BAG TRAVEL TO THE STADIUM AND TRYOUT FOR THE FIELD MANAGER. IF HE LIKES YOUR BASEBALL SKILLS HE HAS A 6 TO 10 PAGE CONTRACT FOR YOU TO SIGN. AND DON'T TRY ANY CUTE STUFF AS YOUR STUFF WILL BE IN THE FRONT OFFICE WITH THE BALACE OF YOUR PAY AND YOU WILL BE SCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY AND TOLD IF YOU RETURN YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED A TRESPASER AND YOU WILL DEAL WITH THE LOCAL SMOKEY. IN THE MINORS THEY ONLY TELL YOU ONE TIME. IF A BUS LEAVES AT 6 PM YOU ARE THERE AT 5 PM. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!!

I know you are a scout and all but there is more to baseball positions than size. Just because somebody is tall and big doesn't mean they are a good 1st baseman. Maybe if people spent more time looking at what players could do and not how big they are or how old they are (2 things I see you posting about all the time) then other deserving players may get more chances.

Next September, an 8-team league will start play for 60 games in the southwest.
