Comment by Chris Paterson on April 14, 2012 at 12:30am The Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs will be hosting their west coast tryout in LA on Monday April 23, at 10am, at the Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.
Players will be evaluated and signed for remaining Pecos League Spring training invites for the 2012 season.
The Pecos League is a Independent Minor league that plays From May thru August in the southwest of the USA.
The Pecos League has sent over 70 players in one year to higher independent leagues as well as MLB organizations.
The tryout will consist of players running the 60, throws from the OF and Inf, fungos, BP, pitchers throwing off the mound to a catcher in front of a radar gun and scouts. Possibility of pitchers throwing to live hitters.
Scouts and Coaches from other INDY leagues and teams will be invited to attend as well as MLB scouts
Cost of tryout is 50$ and player can pay and register before the workout at the field. For more info contact Chris.paterson@pecosleague.com
A Major bat company will be on hand with bats to demo!

Pecos League Professional Baseball Tryout
PRO BASEBALL TRYOUT DEC 4TH IN RIVERSIDE, CA AT LA SIERRA UNIVERSITY. 10 AM, PRO SCOUTS AND COACHES THERE. COME OUT and tryout cost is only 50 dollars and you can register at the field before the tryout. Professional contracts will be given out to players that can play at this level. Make your dreams of pro ball come true.

Also you need to get your ERA way down, Your 5.56 ERA in 2011 will get you released fast in indy or affiliate ball. If any player wants to play at the next level they should dominate at the college level. Start dominating at the Div 2 level ERA under 3.00 and opponents batting average under .230 not .330 like you had.
Anyone giving you advice without researching your playing history is not doing a disservice.
Pro ball is way stronger compeition that college ball.
