ROAD TO THE SHOW ; THE PROJECT AS IT DEVELOPS

Pat,
Thank you. That really means a lot to me. Take a look at the following list. It was written and emailed to me by Gary McCoy, the 1B and S&C Coach for the New Orleans Zephyrs (AAA, Marlins). I just finished editing an interview I shot of him a few days ago. I'll have it up on here soon. If you like it, as long as you give credit where credit's due (to Gary not me) feel free to use it on your blog.

From Gary:

There are common traits with those that stick at the minor leagues:

1. Passion- Love for the game- their identity is expressed through baseball- its who they are.

2. Balance- the ability to stay even from highs one days- lows the next. Relief pitchers know this better than anyone.

3. Character- it’s the 6th tool- and paramount to team chemistry.

4. Drive- staying in the moment- but keep looking ahead.

5. Courage- failing in front of thousands –and success in front of the same- takes courage.

6. Belief- in themselves- in their dreams.

Hope this helps…

Great production value for a web show on the home and prospectus page.

This quote from your download is why I've started a blog here in Reno, NV. New home of the Reno Aces (Diamondbacks AAA).

from your download..
"The importance of Character, Values and the need for Heroes
Baseball's fan base is built on little leaguers following their big league heroes
from a young age. With so much negative talk about steroids and other off-field
distractions, "Minor League: The Road to the Show" can rekindle the passion fans of all ages felt for the game by extolling its virtues of hard work on and off the field, dedication and love of the game. At its core, the show will help fans develop new heroes to follow for many years as they eagerly watch those players attempt the arduous climb to the major leagues."

We couldn't have gotten as far as we have without the generosity of everyone involved with not only the Ft. Myers Miracle but also the Twins themselves. Loud shouts out to Dave St. Peter, Jim Rantz, the Goldklang Group, Mike Veeck, Steve Gliner, Gary Sharp and Brian Dinkelman.

Thanks Larry. I just went throught your website and it is awesome. If there is anything that I can contribute or be help- please just say the word and I am there. I have so much passion for the game of baseball and I wish one day, I had made it to the biggs. But I keep telling kids that as long as baseball is in their hard, and they have what it takes to become a good ball player, they will have a chance. It is all about Heart, Passion, Dedication, Commitment, Discipline, Respect and Teamwork.
