Looking to play at a school in texas this upcoming year. I was red shirted at Wharton County Junior College in 2007 during my only year in college, and have since been working in the fitness industry. I plan on going back to school to pursue a degree in sports science/nutrition and would love to play baseball while im there. I have a good list of tryouts that i will be attending in the next few months and would greatly appreciate any info that could assist me in meeting my goals this summer

We develop high school and collegiate student/athletes in the summer via our wood bat summer league.  Please contact us if you are interested in playing 35-45 games of wood bat competition in the states of Virginia/North Carolina.  We develop skill, power/speed, and network our players into opportunities.  Just sent one of our own to Germany to play in their National League. 2011 Champion Macon Giants Looking for players to help fill the 2012 summer team roster. Players will be required to play a 35 + game schedule. The Premier Prospect League is an 8 team league in Georgia. The Premier Prospect League (PPL) is one of the top wood bat summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country.

Recognizing a void, the Premier Prospect League was created for baseball players who have signed a national letter of intent, verbally committed,as well as current collegiate players. The PPL offers college level competition with the intent to help players keep skills sharp, while offering professional exposure that is unmatched anywhere else in the country!

Our 35+ game season will be infused with multiple "Pro-Day" workouts for players to showcase their talents to MLB scouts throughout the Summer. The PPL has the vision of providing maximum exposure and bridging the gap between players and scouts in the talent laden southeast region of the U.S

This was one of only a couple wins from a very long season, the end score of the game was 7-5, 7Ks and 0BB. Our team played nearly 100 games that season and have maintained that busy schedule since and we all love it. At age 7 Brooke tried out for an established softball club’s U10 team. This team had about 60 kids show up for try-outs... Brooke did not make the team. Little did that team know that Brooke would make it onto a brand new team that was forming and would not only become their “nemesis”, but the Nebraska Nemesis 98s! Brooke and the Nemesis 98s would record their first win against the very team that turned her down at try outs early that summer and the rest is history. 2005 Y.M.C.A. Giants Coach Pitch Participation award ;) 2004 Y.MC.A. Giants T-Ball Participation award :) Information about your team and how they are doing. The Nebraska Nemesis 98s have been consistently ranked as one of the top teams in our age divisions in the state of Nebraska, in our region (region 5) and in the nation according to USSSA for about a half a dozen years. We also have won, one ASA Class A State Title and have a couple of runner-up finishes and a third place finish. None of this would be possible without the help and softball talent of my current and past members of my team or without the help/training from our great coaches and support of our friends, family and fans that we have. My team the Nebraska Nemesis 98s means the world to me and we all take the game very seriously. As a matter of fact we play year round and we gladly take on the new challenges we face and are given to us by our head Coach, Coach Beth Singleton. We strive to play the best teams from across the nation from the top associations in the US like ASA, USSSA and Triple Crown Sports and have traveled and competed against teams from all over the US and even Canada. On average we probably play a little over 100 games and have played ball in I believe 10 different states. We have traveled as far as Montgomery, AL- Johnson City, TN-Loveland, CO and Norman, OK. On top of searching for the best teams in the country from our age division, we often find ourselves playing up an age bracket. This past season (2011) our U12 team played U16 league and did well, we finished 5-4 on the season and played in two U14 tournaments with one championship and one runner-up. We also participated in a U14 showcase in Kansas City, MO. This season (2012) our U13 team will be prepairing ourselves for High School ball and be pushing ourselves once again and playing up a few age divisions in league in the U18s. I have been a part of this team and organization since it started which is about 6 years now. We only have two core members left from the original Nemesis team besides myself and their names are Bobbi Singleton (Catcher) and Tayler Marshall (Short Stop). The rest of our team is made up of Hailey Bartz, Cheyanne Baumann, Calista Best, Alyssa Hammett, Skylar Huls, Kailee McFadden, Danica Meierhenry, Cassie Vasa. Every time I step onto the field whether it be practice, warm-ups or on the field for a game in black and teal I am thankful to be a part of such a great team and organization. I hope to finish my travel team career with the Nebraska Nemesis 98s. We have had our highs and lows over the last few years, including an almost 100 game losing season our very first year. To our most successful season to date with 11 team members and 10 championships and an undefeated league season year including our Class A 10U ASA State title. No matter how we do, whether that be win or lose, we are a team and we all enjoy being a part of it. My team mates and I broke ground on the $6.5 million dollar softball complex where The Cat Osterman Experience is held in 2009 and were officially the first team to sign up for the event. I and my teammates were also inducted into the USGS (United States Girls Softball Hall of Fame) in 2010 which is located at the complex, we finished 2nd in the Silver division at the tournament with over 25 teams from around the world (including teams from as far as California, Canada and Australia).

Scott ....it's no different than when you first started out looking for a college to go to after HS. Contact the schools your interested in and send them your schedule and your info along with a recommendation from your coach or a scout.

What are the best ways for a JUCO player to get looked at by larger schools - DI and DII. How does the process work
Comment by Scott Alexander Makorow on August 4, 2011 at 1:24am
My name is Scott Makorow and I am a 6'3" 175 sophomore playing for La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. I am primarily a 1B and RHP but I can play any position other than catcher. My dream is to get drafted and play in the pros, as I'm sure many on here have the same dream. Is there anyone out there who can help me in any way? Any advice, tips, or help of any kind would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, just message me and I'll be more than happy to respond.
