I'm a high school coach from Chicago.  I start watching kids at a very early age.  The Chicago area has been over looked for way too long.  I use this forum to connect with college coaches, in an effort to not just get my kids to that level, but kids from the city, and surrounding area.  I am honored to be a part of this group.

Been quite a while since I've been on CheckSwing. With five kids, the first one now in college, among other life happenings, time has just flown by.

Just wanted to alert all to a series of hitting drills that I've used successfully in 15 years of coaching from Tee Ball to college players (JUCO, DII, DII). Visit

Welcome To the Puerto Rico Instructional Baseball League!

PRIBL is an instructional baseball program, created to help baseball prospects to start or advance in their careers playing professional baseball.

The PRIBL program is absolute the best opportunity for players to be scouted, those who have been overlooked in college, who want to move to a higher level of Independent professional baseball, or those who want to try to get signed by MLB organizations. The PRIBL also works with players who are rehabilitating injuries to get them back up to the game again. The PRIBL is a tremendous opportunity for you to get Major League instruction, guidance, advice, and preparation. "Get seen, get better, get signed... and get a tan."

My name is Gerry Leung and I am from Newton, MA. I am 17 and a 2013 graduate at Newton South High School. My primary position is catcher. I am 5'9 and I weigh about 170 pounds. I have played AAU, club teams and Varsity baseball. I led my Summer Connie Mack team last year (age 16-19) to the New England Championship Tournament.

Are there any other travel baseball teams out there in New England that need a catcher? I am also uncommitted for colleges. I will attempt to walk on to either university of Maine or Stony Brook. But Im open to other options too.
