Who is your favorite hitter and why?

I've always enjoyed watching Todd Helton hit. He controls plate appearances as well as any hitter I've seen play the game -- granted, I've only been watching the game closely for about a decade.

Who is your favorite pitcher and why?

Brian Bannister is definitely among my favorites. It's great to watch a statistician on the mound.

I was the UC Davis student paper baseball beat writer in 2006. I founded www.projectprospect.com in September of 2006. Shortly after creating my website, I moved to North Carolina to write and edit for Baseball America. I'm currently a part-time City Planner and I continue to run Project Prospect.
