Players Needed

Posted on August 20, 2010 at 1:33pm 0 Comments

I am looking for 3 players to play in a 25+ wood bat tournament. The tournament is the Dallas Cup in Dallas Texas. It's held September 3-6. You will have a 4-game pool play and then the winners will stay and play on the 6th for a championship. The cost is $85/player if you get your own hotel and $100/player if you room with us. Anyone interested please contact me by e-mail at arkansasdodgers@gmail.com ASAP.

ALS Fundraiser

Posted on January 2, 2010 at 12:49am 0 Comments

I am possibly about to enter an agreement with the local facility here that treats her aunt to do a tournament here to help raise money. I was just curious how much you guys thought would be a good rate to charge teams to enter the tournament. We would need at least $1,570 to cover balls and umpires for just an 8 team tourney.… Continue

Decision Time

Now is the time to start preparing for next season. The main choice I face is switch hitting. I haven't hit lefty in a game in over 6 years but I still do it in the batting cages as much as possible. With the current league I play in the pitching is not really all that great and I think I could handle hitting lefty. The only problem is that if I move to a different league I'm not sure if I could handle a fastball from the left side. I can't make up my mind what I want to do. Any advice on how… Continue

Rosters are 12 to 13 players but you can bring as many as you like. if you are short a few players we can add some to the team. they have to be over 25 and 30 to pitch.

Anthony,

If you want to send me some information on your bats that would be fine. I carry Akadema, Mattingly, and Old Hickory bats now, but certainly wouldn't mind seeing what you have and of course the pricing. Thanks, Mark
