Thanks David.  I totally agree, in fact my next video strength lesson will deal with some plyometric work to strengthen core and legs.  I put a heavy emphasis on this aspect during my private lessons, and for my high school team.  Funny how things have changed over the years.  I remember back in 1986 when I was with the White Sox we did very little, other than sprint work and distance running.  I guess we have all had to evolve which is good for the next generation of kids coming up.  We can hopefully take care of the whole body, so that we reduce the number of injuries that are occuring in our younger athletes.

Thanks for adding me to your friends list.  I would be interested to hear your thoughts about strength and toning of the shoulder (throwing muscles) that can be used at any age.  I've got a new web site (5 weeks old), and I deal with some on there under video lessons.  All the lessons so far are strength related.  If you have a chance to look it over I would like to know what types of exercises you teach especially for the 14 and under age group.  gtdpitching.com
