Travel Baseball Economics- help please

Posted on November 10, 2014 at 12:00pm 17 Comments

I just completed my first season of travel baseball as a parent and a coach. I coached an 8U team this Fall and our season was very successful on every level. The kids improved a great deal, had fun and we won enough games.

I'm reaching out to have an open discussion with people from all over the US about the economics of travel baseball. Without a doubt, this is a business. There are hard costs associated with running a travel baseball team. Coaches, Fields, Uniforms,…

Youth Tournament Philosophy?

I have been a couple times. It's the largest baseball convention in the world. Approximately 4,000 coaches attend. It's four days of non-stop baseball. A massive amount of baseball committees and their leaders, organization leaders, camp/clinic/batting cage owners, and just about every vendor you can imagine.
