I have coached at the high school and college levels. I have two young children who are just now getting introduced to baseball and I enjoy seeing them have fun playing and watching the greatest game ever invented.

The MLB Baseball package is the best thing on TV.

I love going to the ballpark (any park), get there early to watch batting practice and infield practice.

Little League planning new age division- Thoughts?

Is this a good move?

Will it help in keeping 12 year olds more active in baseball?

In hopes of keeping more children and teenagers involved in baseball, Little League is planning on adding a new age division this year, The Associated Press reported Monday.

The pilot program would be for 12- and 13-year-old players, and it will be designed to ease the transition to playing on professional-sized fields -- which includes pitching distances of 60 feet, 6 i… Continue

I'll invite women I know who are players or who organize leagues for others. My new book, Chasing Baseball, had a great review in Library Journal February 1. I quote from it: "In Part 2, A Womanly Pursuit, Mills notes the women who have in fact played baseball, albeit excluded from the MLB and subject of ridicule, and the responsibility of collegiate sports and the Little League in sht=unting women into softball. A fascinating read that will be especially inspiring for women who love the game."
