This is a very interesting article.

_______________

Montaous Walton, now 29 years old, says his story should be titled "The Dream Chaser" and in a sense, that would be right, but only almost. There are other titles one could choose, names given Montaous by others, like "The Fraud," or "The Con Artist"—but those wouldn’t be quite right, either.

Many of us have known boys like Montaous, or even have been a boy like Montaous, a boy with a dream to play baseball. On…

Here's a situation I encountered recently.....

8U travel baseball game. It's the 2nd game of a doubleheader. The scenario/dispute is around pitching limits. In our league, a pitcher is only allowed to throw three innings per weekend. Those three innings can be in one game or split across both games of a doubleheader.

Here's the exact rule from our league rulebook:

SPRING & FALL ONLY: 8u, 9u pitchers may only pitch 3 innings per…

Thanks for the invite. I was wondering if you had any tips on promoting a tournament I'm hosting here in Pittsburgh. I'd like to bring in outside teams for it July 4th weekend!

Hi Bill,

Thanks for adding me to your  site. I joined as a friend of Tim Mayo, who among other things turns bats in Conn. I also turn bats, and have a copy lathe for sale, and Tim suggested I join your group, and someone might be interested in the machine.

Hey Bill, thanks for adding me to the check swing.  I am wondering if you know where I can find college players looking for summer ball.  I currently have 9 players but need to find 6 fully committed ball players willing to travel on weekends and 1 week in Florida for games and tournaments.  We last ur were 8-9-2 but was the runners up in the southern timber league world series.  I am looking for talented ball players who are in college now and can hit for contact and RBI producer, plus a few pitchers.  Heavily need a starting catcher and a utility player who can catch and play first base.  It's best if players can play more than one position.  Any help is appreciated.  Players feel free to contact me via text now as I am busy man working long he's and trying to get things ready for summer ball.  Our website is www.hermitagepiratesbaseball.com.  my number is 615-838-7730.  Thanks!
