Any interest in playing some fast pitch wiffleball?
I live in Costa Mesa and have run leagues/tournaments for southern California players for last 11 seasons. Always looking for some good competition to join our groups. Let me know whenever you want to take some swings for fun at one of the local parks. I'll be there!
Thats awesome! You were the first position player to record a win in about 35 years. Im really happy for you that you had the opportunity to play in the majors, and for 15 years! Great accomplishment and talk to you later.
hey Brent - I'm interested in carrying your Art of Catching book in my online store. I tried to contact you via your website but it appears to be down. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. thanks - Bryan
Thanks, Brent. I don't know that the Belles will be in Calif yet this year, but there are several women's club teams in the state, including the Bandits (San Diego) who play week in/week out vs. the guys and feature 3 of the Belles on their roster. If you think you might get to Phoenix in October, you should see some good action there also.
Thanks for your good wishes, and yes... the women I play with play hard, with passion, and for the love of the game!
Hey, I was just reading your post "Bored to Tears." If you want to see something a little "different" come watch us play in the NABA tournament in Las Vegas over Memorial Day. We're the North American Liberty Belles Elite International Women's Baseball Team (see the blog on the front page of Checkswing). We're fresh from a Silver Medal win in Hong Kong and will be playing against the guys for the first time as a team. Many of us play with and against guys throughout the year, but this will be our first time as a whole team. I can guarantee you won't be bored. The one thing that is a constant is Women's Baseball is that we all appreciate every second we're on the field, we love the game, and we all play with passion.
If you're interested in coming to check it out, let me know, and I can give you full details!
