"Don't use paint, paint hides the wood grain.  Wood grain should be visible."

Bat Scuffing to Easily

I have ran into the issue of my colored bats scuffing up a little more than the better companies (by scuffing I obviously mean ball marks showing very easily)...not sure if its the kind of paint I am using or the type of laquer. Any ideas? I just started dipping my bats in laquer, and I thought that would take care of it, but ball marks still seem to appear pretty easily.See More

"Is waterborne finish brand is a secret? Would love to know what you use.  I use a laquer made by chemcaft.  How do you deal with grain raise issue?   "

"I dip one bat at a time - I use PVC tubing.   The cap covers the top when you are done, and keep the lacquer fresh."
