Did not receive it. I'm going to send a look and follow list to my friend with the Mets. If you want a chance to be on it get the info to me ASAP. Good luck this season.

Dave,
If you are considered a "prospect" by orgainizations, they will find you. If not, I suggest contacting independent league offices directly and ask them what is required for a player in your situation. Good luck and let me know what happens and if you have any more questions.

Hi Dave! The CBL (www.cblproball.com) is A ball (there is A, AA, AAA levels of the minor leagues) which is basically one step above Rookie ball as far as talent levels go. The player salaries are capped at $1000 per month with no expenses for the players other than getting to Idaho and an occasional meal here and there. All players will be housed with host families. There will not be a barnstorming tour next summer as I will have a full fledged team in the CBL and it will be based out of Meridian, ID. There will be a tryout camp in Boise in order to pick the 25 guys who will represent the Meridian Outlaws in the 2010 CBL. Let me know if you are interested in trying out and I will add you to the list of interested players.

What To Expect At A Professional Baseball Tryout

First Things First

Get to the park early but not necessarily too early. Nothing happens until everyone is signed in and usually they don’t begin sign in until the exact start time (Still being there early is always a good idea). Tryouts usually begin around 9am so getting to the park around 8:40 would be ideal.

Those in charge then call out positions. You have to pick…

Here is a great article by Curt Schilling from ESPN.com. He talks about how great lineups, heavy in guys with good OBP can tear a pitching staff apart. Further evidence for the importance of patience.

What should pitchers expect at an MLB tryout

Decided to do this post to maybe get myself an insider bat. Also, I looked for one of these before I went to a tryout and what I found wasn't necessarily that helpful.
