2010 Season is now underway

Opened up last weekend against #15 Sonoma State. Went 1 and 3 but should have split the series. Lost the first game on Friday 8-7 giving u 3 runs with 2 outs in the 8th. But we swung the bat alright and had some very impressive appearances from our freshmen and a great start from our JC transfer on the bump. We open conference play this weekend against CSU-San Bernardino. Follow at otterathletics.comSee More

More Fall Ball

We've been going good, just had our 5th team practice together as a team. Too many NCAA rules we rarely work together. The freshmen are pushing guys hard, its gonna be tough at the end of fall to find our 35 guys but its part of the job. Intrasquad games have been good. Pitchers pitching to contact and not walking a bunch of guys and the hitters are learning how to hit in situations and not just swinging to swing. More young kids need to learn that at the plate. Too many are just swinging to…See More

CSUMB Fall Ball 2009

Posted on September 1, 2009 at 1:57pm 2 Comments

Fall Ball has begun with conditioning for pitchers and position players. There's a new attitude here more work less talk by the guys. If day one is any indication this year already feels and looks better than last year.

Hey James,

Create a CheckSwing group for Cal State Monterey Bay Baseball and invite the whole team to join! It only takes seconds to do and you can use the group for current as players as wekk as alumni to stay connected.

I'm a big Red Sox fan as well. What an inning last night when Contraras fell apart. Couldn't believe Ortiz swung 3-0 though after a walk and HBP.
