I once got in trouble from my college coach for sneaking myself into the hitting lineup during an intersquad game. I spent the rest of the practice running poles. In retrospect, this probably was a good move on his part because I'm a better runner than a hitter.
If you pitch, what type of pitcher are you... Power? Ground ball, Fly ball, Knuckleball?
"There's a fight at the bat rack" whenever I step on the mound.

Who is your favorite hitter and why?
Barry Bonds is my favorite hitter. His swing is (was) mechanically perfect, and his mental approach I believe was nearly perfect. Additionally, I've heard several major league coaches who weren't afraid to refer to him as one of if not the greatest hitters they ever saw....and I'm a Giants fan.
Who is your favorite pitcher and why?
Nolan Ryan is my favorite all-time pitcher because, in my opinion, he had the best arm and the absolute nastiest stuff of anyone in my lifetime.
More About Me:
I am currently the editor of Hardball Magazine, the official magazine of the Men's Senior Baseball League. I was formerly a newspaper reporter with the Patriot-News in Harrisburg, PA., the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Mercury-Register in Oroville, Calif.
I played one year of Varsity baseball at Westmont High School in Campbell (1980), Ca. then four years of College baseball.
I was an outfielder for Mission College under Sam Piraro -- the best coach I ever played for -- in 1982. The team won the Nor Cal State Championship that year.
I walked on at Cal State University at Chico the following year as an outfielder, but became a pitcher. Following College I played in various leagues in Northern California, Philadelphia (PenDel League) and Harrisburg Pa.
I am the commissioner of the Pennsylvania Midstate Baseball League -- a 25-and-over league based in Harrisburg, Pa., and currently play in the league.
