I'll have to check out the book - I'm glad you told me about it. You are correct about the combination of baseball and kids. That combination has strengthened my bond with both of my kids and taught me more patience (I rode my oldest like a rented mule when I first coached him). Hopefully my boys will love the game enough to stick with it thru college, but if they don't we've got it now. How old is your son, and where does he play?

Jeff, thanks for the request. I totally agree with your pick on Clemente - I wish we all could have seen him retire from the game "normally", but his untimely and tragic death only strengthened the legend of a great man who just happened to be a ballplayer.

Hey Jeff,

I just read the reviews of your book on Amazon. It sounds like a good read!

Jeff,
My book will be out in a couple of weeks - I'd love to read yours - I propose an even trade when mine comes out? I have another coming out this summer "raising an Athlete" which sounds somewhat similar to your book. Didn't take long to write either but of course takes forever to edit, publish etc. Thanks for getting in touch. Jack
