Vote for Garrett Wittels for Best Male College Athlete ESPY Award

Posted on June 25, 2010 at 11:53pm 1 Comment

If you haven't heard of this kid, then you don't follow big things happening in baseball, College baseball. I just spoke to him and he can't join as of now because of all that is going on with him but he will as soon as he can. If you can just read this description of him for "Best Male College Athlete ESPY Award" and vote for him as I did, it would be really appreciated.

I posted this in the American Legion group on Nov. 19 with no response. So I will post this on a blog. I would like to ask all of the American Legion coaches/players how many of you play in a wooden bat league or are trying to start one? I was thinking of bring it up at are first meeting to switch to a wooden bat league and would like to show how many teams do play in wooden bat league around the country. Please let me know.

Hey Jim, thanks for the friend add. I see it says in your profile that you scout baseball. Who are you a scout for? I'm a senior in college and I'm looking at playing professionally after I graduate.

Hi Jim, I sent you some information on wood bats that you were looking into earlier. I was just wondering if you were still looking because we have some new bats coming in 2010.

Hi Jim. I remember when aluminum bats first came out. I was a reluctant convert. There's nothing like the feel of hitting a ball solid with a wood bat. I can't believe the cost of them today. Back when I was young, a good, solid wood bat should cost between $11 and $16 dollars. Not so today. Best wishes in your coaching my friend. deland cochran, College Park, GA, American Legion Post 50, 1975-76
