- Don Mattingly: I have always enjoyed watching Don Mattingly swing the lumber. He could hit to all fields, hit for average, hit for power and was a great 2 strike hitter.
- Who is your favorite pitcher and why?
- Bob Gibson: I have always loved how Bob Gibson would attack the hitters and never backed down.

A good friend of mine out of Vancouver, WA has a wood bat company. These bats are hand made and have great pop. I had one of his maple bats that I used daily as my practice bat that had well over 10,000 hits/cuts on it! Get a great wood bat, support a start-up company and buy something made in the USA
