Joe Mauer. His swing is so compact, and the versatility of his power mixed with average. Ability to be a leader and come through in a clutch situation.
Who is your favorite pitcher and why?
Justin Verlander for his ability to make good appearances so consistantly, and to control his emotions on the mound. Also, the ability to differentiate when the right time to dig deep and throw 100mph +.
Additional Playing/Coaching Info (If applicable, include detailed info here such as - HS, College, Pro Leagues, Summer Leagues, Arm Speed, 60 Time, Catcher Pop Time, etc.):
I played baseball in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan throughout my childhood and high school years. I am a seven time Provincial Champion in Saskatchewan and have attended the Canadian National Championships seven times.
After High School I attended a junior college in Williston, North Dakota, US, before transferring to Bluefield State college in West Virginia, US where I continued to hone my skills as a starter, and learn leadership.
My first position is Catcher. My last set of pop times varied between 1.9 and 2.1 with the average being 2.02.
I also pitch, with three pitches and a velocity varying between 83 and 87.
More About Me:
I love and live for the game of baseball. I feel as although my college career is coming to an end that I am still physically becoming stronger and learning more skills. I would really like the opportunity to keep playing the game I love and continue progressing my skills.

Hi Jordan and welcome to Check Swing. I think you'll enjoy this baseball community as it's all about talking baseball and helping each other. If you ever want to talk hitting, pitching, coaching or umpiring feel free to contact me (with NO sales pitches from me.) You can read some of the articles I’ve written on hitting and pitching by doing a “Google” search, using my name. I’ll gladly share them for free for any website, including LL, newsletter, blog, etc if you contact me. Take care!
