Who is your favorite hitter and why?

Ted Williams and Derek Jeter because both are committed to their craft and wanted to be the best. Ted Williams had natural ability and great eyesight but he PRACTICED, PRACTICED and PRACTICED!

Who is your favorite pitcher and why?

Mike Mussina b/c he was a consistent competitor that was successful in the toughest division in baseball.

More About Me:

My name is Joe Mandile. I was born in the Bronx, NY and currently reside in Yonkers, NY. I attended Iona Prep H.S. and was named captain my senior year in 2002. We were ranked 14 in the country by USAToday/ Baseball America. I attended and played collegiately at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Upon graduation in 2006 I signed two professional contracts w/ the Bay Area Toros of the Continental Baseball League based in Texas. I coached collegiately at DIII power Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY from 2006-2008. I currently do private lessons and work collegiate and H.S. showcase camps in the NY area. I run a semi-pro team called the New Rochelle Tigers which features many former Minor Leaguers and current collegiate players. I still have aspirations to play at the professional level. I have a B.S. in Political Science and a Masters in Sports Business Management. I hope to attend law school possibly in the fall and one day work in the baseball operations arm of an affiliated organization.
