As an educator in baseball, and in academics I am always asking my students to ask me questions when they don't know something or don't understand something. Today I am asking all coaches, parents, and players to ask me anything that has ever been on your mind about athletics, health, academics, throwing routines, proper age for certain things??? Please wear me out with questions because I am hear for all of you so that I may converse with you and even learn from your experiences. Coach… Continue

IMG Academies: Does anyone have contacts...

Posted on April 26, 2011 at 12:47am 0 Comments

I would ideally love the opportunity to learn from the people at IMG on how they run things on the business side and coaching side. Also, I would love to learn more about their academic tracks also. If anyone has info or contacts, I would appreciate the reply. 510-375-9813. proglovepounder@gmail.com  Kenny Salyer

What youth baseball is truly about...Coach K

Posted on April 13, 2011 at 1:28am 1 Comment

A wise man once said: "Baseball is a game for kids, grown ups just screw it up."

Parents out there. Remember this quote as you work with your own kids teams and leagues. It is not about you, and it isn't about winning. It is about teaching the game of life through the sport and developing your kids as well as the others on the team. If you don't know how, be resourceful and find the right people who do know how to teach these life lessons.
