Mikal...I'm just a dad...2 older sons played college baseball in California. My youngest son's 18 and LHP...about your size. He was a big-time D1 recruit, but had Tommy John Surgery. At any rate...I know a fair amount about recruiting, etc. I can't imagine a 6-2, 220 LHP like you not getting any interest from any colleges. ... My son got California JCs calling him while he was still rehabbing from surgery. There's a premium on big, LHP with work ethic, etc. ... I know California's a long way from you, but Solano Community College has a fantastic head coach named Scott Stover. Great baseball guy. We're friends. When a kid from outside the state shows interest, he often helps them relocate. ... if you're still interested and needing someone to give you a look, you can get Stover's information at the Solano Community College website. It's halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento...if you want to tell me what you've done to market yourself to colleges, I might be able to help. I'm a sports writer and helped a couple high school football kids out here get recruited. College coaches were good to my sons, so I try to pass on what we learned. The best way to reach me is at work: ted.sillanpaa@pressdemocrat.com. Good luck! (You won't get much help on this website and...if you haven't paid a recruiting service...don't do it! They want your money and they don't do anything you can't do for yourself.) Ted Sillanpaa
