Russell Martin's Laziness!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is Mauer an exception but the last catcher that could do it all behind the plate was Pudge. Catchers today like to backhand the ball instead of blocking with their body, Molina caught Burnet…

Mike,

I really appreciate that. I worked my but off for a LONG time to make myself the best player I could be and now my job is to pass on that information. The goals I now set forth for myself are obviously no longer as a player, but as a coach. My website isn't finished yet but it would be great if you checked it out, http://ProGripBaseball.com You can also see video from my Hitting DVD on our Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/ProGripBaseball Let me know waht you think! Also, if you ever have any questions regarding ANYTHING in baseball please feel free to sen me an email!

Mike, the publication that mentioned is donated to any amateur player, coach, parent and organization for the express purpose of promoting amateur baseball. Postage is also covered. The only request that I make is that the book not to be sold for fund raisers and such - it's donated.

Thank you for your comments on your son's baseball experience.

I published a book that might be of some benefit for you and your son. It's called A Pitcher's Notebook for Amateur Play - Rookie Edition. An example of the book's contents is below. The publicatoin is an excellent primer for rookies and covers subects that the more experience player and coach takes for granted.

Mike,
I've heard of it because it is one of the Google AD links on my website. I don't know much about it except that it is probably an established coach's tips, principles and philosophy on hitting. All systems are going to have a catchy slogan such as " Learn the secrets" or "Improve your average 100 points in one week" or else it wouldn't catch anyone's eye. Just be careful that it is not a system that you are going to have to make a ton of modifications or changes to your swing. Many systems will bo that because they need original material that is not necessarily being taught all over the place. Maybe you can find sample video clips of it online. Hope this helped a little.

Mike- I think you'll need to network and connect with local players and families to increase your volume of lessons. There's definitely enough kids out there in need of lessons and parents who will pay a modest fee.

Here's a discussion from today on CheckSwing that might help somewhat.
