"Baseball is no different than other sports. Whether it is gymnastics, basketball, football, chess clubs or whatever. There are different levels that can be beneficial to the young person. Some will enjoy the "hanging out with friends" part…"
"I have to agree with the whomever the person was taking the video. I see nothing good that can come out of that drill. We hear "wear it" come out of dugouts and from coaches all the time, which in all honesty I do understand, but to…"
"Bill, great post and absolutely 100% on the money. As a middle school head coach and high school assistant coach, we see the exact same thing in South Carolina. There are far too many organizations running tournaments and players hopping from…"

Who is your favorite hitter and why?
Hank Aaron - the all time greatest homerun hitter in baseball. Others have hit more with help, but nobody did it better than Hammerin' Hank. His focus at the plate, especially during the racially charged era he played during, is an example that every hitter should follow.
Who is your favorite pitcher and why?
Michael Roth is my favorite current pitcher. His attitude, approach to the game and focus have taken him a lot farther than most would have predicted. He is a true team leader and takes time to mentor the guys coming up behind him.
More About Me:
I coach baseball to help young people learn to love the game and to improve their skills. I don't coach for money, although I don't hold it against those that do. I coach for the enjoyment of helping others find success.
