Who is your favorite hitter and why?
In terms of overall hitting mechanics, Chipper Jones. I am a Red Sox fan at heart, born and raised in Boston, but now that I am coaching at the collegiate level I look at the mechanics more closely. Broken down frame by frame, Chipper Jones is my favorite hitter to look at. The positions he gets into are tremendous and he does it on the majority of his swings. The fact that he is competing at such a high level at his age proves he can still get it done. Mechanics and plate discipline, in addition to his overall athletic ability, put him in a class very few are a part of.
Who is your favorite pitcher and why?
Nolan Ryan; Never seen a power pitcher who wants the ball and wants to win more.
