Designated Hitters

Last week I mentioned Edgar Martinez eligibility for the Hall of Fame. What are you thoughts on DH?
He played his entire career with Seattle from 1987 to 2004. Hit 309 HR and lifetime 312 BAV. Would you vote
a DH into the Hall?

Roberto Alomar, slick fielding 2nd baseman is up for HOF. Should he be voted in on the 1st ballot?

After Alomar, the next most decorated candidates among the 15 additions to the ballot were Barry Larkin, the shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds; Edgar Martinez, the designated hitter for the Seattle Mariners; and Fred McGriff, who clubbed 493 homers.

I would be up for that. Have done a fund-raiser for Little League in my
town. Half Moon Bay. Had much help in the way of stuff donated by the
Giants and A"s + fans and a local large memrabilia store. Can provide details.
Have friends at Rotary....very helpful to me. Times are rough but perhaps a
local sponsor or 2 would help. I would love to work with you. Call my

Hey Norm,

Thanks..that's cool!!! I wonder if we might find some way to do a fundraiser for the Liberty Belles with your show if we could bring you to Spokane...just brainstorming.... that would be a great tie-in...maybe a visit to the local children's hospital as well?

Best,
