As players we have heard from the time we first picked up a bat, "see ball, hit ball". While this is true what does it mean?What I try to make players understand is first understanding the strike zone, recognizing the pitch and knowing where to make contact with that pitch according to its location and spin. I am 47 years old and have been playing competitively since I was 5. I had the great fortune to play 4 years of independant and minor league ball and after getting hurt had to quit. I currently play in the AZMSBL and in several tournaments through out the year.
