Ronnie Felix he was our high school ace and died his first year in collage playing at Scottsdale Community And had Major League potential
More About Me:
I played in the 1982 little league all star state playoff game and lost the first game of the double elimination tournament and then won 6 straight to win the State Championship in Tucson Oro Valley . We went to San Bernadino California for the 14 team regional which whom we shared a dorm with Kirkland Washington whom won the regional and went on to win the little league world series against Chinese Taipei.My Father Terry Haifley Sr was the coach . In fact Mark Chandler The coach for Sahuaro High School Baseball made the trip to watch us get beat in the opener 19-1 by South Bay California . We went on to take 6th place out of 14 teams and can say we played against the best in the world. Two years later our same team won the state championship in the senior league all stars and went on to play in Colorado for the regional s. Years later Me and Mark Chandler coached together in Casa Grande Senior league which we went u defeated in league play and were announced the all star coaches which we didn't fair as well as we did when we won the state championship in 1985.But it was a joy to coach with my best child hood friend Mark Chandler whom i grew up with from 5 years old . Mark is the most dedicated coach and friend i have ever seen .
