Professional: A career .305 hitter wrapping up the 2011 season through four years in the minor leagues. Originally with the Texas Rangers organization. Traded in 2009 to the Kansas City Royals. Two time minor league all star, including game mvp of the 2008 Midwest League All Star game after hitting a game winning home run. Texas League all star in 2010, winning the championship with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Four consecutive years with .300 + average seasons.

International: Won the gold medal in the 2011 Pan American games with Team Canada hitting .350. Took home a bronze medal in the 2011 World Cup of Baseball hitting .361. Played for Team Canada in the 2009 World Cup of Baseball. Had a team high .414 average for the tournament helping Canada win the bronze medal. Two time member of the Canadian Junior National team.

NCAA: Played one year at Arizona State University in 2007. Hit for an average of .350. Reached the College World Series after winning the Pac 10 Conference, Tempe Regional and Super Regional.

Junior College: Played two years at Midland College in Midland, Texas...set school records for his career batting average (.459), career OBP (.547), career slugging percentage (.736), stolen bases (41), single season batting average (.468) and single season OBP (.553)...was a hitting machine, pounding out 155 hits, including 59 extra base hits, over his two seasons...as a freshman in 2005, hit .468 (63-158) a school record, with eight home runs, 55 RBI and 63 RBI...slugged .772 and stole 18 bases...earned 2005 Midland Offensive Player of the Year honors...named to the SLAM! Sports All-Canadian Collegiate Team...was a member of the Canadian National Champions with Team Ontario in the Canada Summer Games...as a sophomore in 2006, named a pre-season All-American by Baseball America...continued his offensive onslaught, batting .450 (81-180) with 22 doubles, five homers, 59 RBI and 71 runs scored...stole 23 bases and slugged .700...named Team MVP and Offensive Player of the Year...made the Junior College All-Star Game...named NJCAA Player of the Week on 10/15...earned All-Conference and All-Region...played for the Mankato Moondogs over the summer...named to the Northwoods League mid-season and post-season All-Star teams....named the 6th overall prospect from the NWL by Baseball America...

High School: A 2004 graduate of Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Ontario, Canada...played club ball while in high school...played for Team Canada and Team Ontario...rated a Top Prospect in the Perfect Games Northeast Showcase...led the 2004 Birchmount Park team to an undefeated season and Prentice Cup championship...named Player of the Year by the Toronto Star News following his senior year...also played football, basketball and hockey.

MLB Draft: Drafted in the 21st round (614th overall pick) by the New York Mets in the 2004 MLB Draft...also selected in the 17th round (505th overall pick) by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2005 MLB Draft. Signed with the Texas Rangers after being selected in the 7th round (230th overall pick) in the 2007 MLB draft.
