"Good videos Sam!!! Nice to see some good swings. I understand what you mean with the term "torque", but i just have 1 question. I was wondering with the shoulder turning inward, if that would cause a hitter to turn his head as well???…"

"Sam and Tim, You are both correct, but you may be missing the point.  There are two schools of thought when it comes to swing path.  If you are hitting for average, then you want the bat "on plane" for as long as possible to…"

"I can tell you this, The amount of weight transfer along with his load and straightening of the lead arm will make it very difficult to hit for a good average."

The approach to hitting a thrown, pitched baseball is a combination of rotational and linear body movements, therefore what I like to see first during one's load up is the negative, reverse rotation of the hips which will load the hands to the launch position at the same time with the very short step if any step at all executed at the same time,"LOAD, STEP," all one movement, as the great one,"TED WILLIAMS," taught us many moons ago, "THE HIPS LEAD THE WAY," throughout the approach to the baseball from start to finish. I certainly do agree with you Mason Eng. you hit the nail right on the head with your comment, that high hands too far away from the body and bat position leads to quite a long bat path with some sweeping movement and also hinders a quick barrel acceleration to the contact point.
