2-TEE drill

"There is something in the proper mechanics of a swing thats called connection... (dont confuse it with contact) Thats when you have proper hip rotation, the elbow is in your side,  the bat is flat on plane with the ball and at that…"

2-TEE drill

"Hey Joel, What you say in your video doesn't make any sense to me. You state that you want to keep the barrel of the bat above the baseball to creat backpin. Let's see, if the barrel of the bat is on top of the ball that would most likely…"

Joel Hartman replied to Derrick Harwood's discussion Front foot closed at point of contact!!
"The reason they are good hitters is because they focus on hitting the ball hard, and not just home runs. That approach is what separates them from the rest- they are able to get consistently hard contact, which puts them at the top tier."

"Dwight- you are correct. That's exactly what I do, and most of the guys I play with. Some of them are just "athletes", and can get away with not having an approach, but they are the exception. not the rule."

Joel, Check out the Batting Pages if you haven't already - http://www.checkswing.com/page/enter-1 . It's an online batting cage essentially where players and coaches can help each other.

Hi Joel.  You should create a CheckSwing Group for "Game Day Advantage". http://www.checkswing.com/groups/group/new .  You can then invite all of your current coaches and players to join it.  The top groups are displayed on the right side of all CheckSwing pages.  Let me know if you have any questions on how to do this.

No problem, Joel. CheckSwing is for connecting with other ballplayers, coaches, and scouts. However, we need to be careful that people aren't getting spammed. Feel free to update your profile page to include all you want about yourself - it's your baseball resume. If you have a company, feel free to create a group page for it. What we don't want, though, is people posting their website or products on other's group pages or blog/discussion comments. Participate in the discussions and if people want to know more about you, they will click your photo and be taken to your profile page.

Thanks for understanding,

Kyle

Hey Joel,

Please do not promote external websites in your posts on CheckSwing. Keep discussions on topic and do not join groups just to promote a site, etc. Enjoy the site and making connections. If you are interested in advertising, please send a note to us at clubhouse@checkswing.net

Thanks,

Kyle
