You have a great connection and relationship with your kids. Your kids admire and respect…

It took me only a few years to realize that most youth baseball coaches and myself were running batting practice, not incorrectly, but not efficiently. From what I have seen with the typical batting practice, a coach will pitch a predetermined number of balls for each batter with the fielders fielding the hit balls and throwing them to…

Pitching Questions
I have a question that I have been going over in my head the last couple of days and I am looking for any help or advice anyone can offer up. I'm working with a pitcher and this kid is opening up when he throws and cannot locate his fastball for strikes. He is also releasing the ball too far back to locate anything down. When he doesn't open up, he leaves the ball up and he doesn't throw hard enough to pitch up in the zone consistently. My questions are, which should I focus on first... the…

All I want to do is coach!!!!
My name is Shaun and for the past 2 years I have been trying to get a job at a baseball academy or any place where I can teach the great game of baseball (pitching to be exact). I have had a few coaching postitions where I have taught pitching; there's a few problems though. First: I never played pro ball. I came close, but didn't make it. I have applied to a bunch of places and I just can't get my foot in the door. What am I missing? I played college ball and was pretty successfull, not…
