A Glove of Their Own -Touching Hearts Across the Nation

My name is Bob Salomon and I have joined three talented authors and one illustrator because this book is the beginning of a movement that, as a father and a coach, I believe in. The idea for this story, born from a child’s birthday party and a desire to ensure all children have equipment and a chance to play, has gained enormous momentum and national support. As grateful as I am for that notoriety, it is Debbie Moldovan, Keri Conkling and Lisa Funari-Willever who first believed in the vision of this dream. They are three amazing women, each one unique in their own talents. I am fortunate to have them as colleagues and blessed to call them friends.

Together, we have been humbled and overwhelmed by the support of individuals, Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, professional athletes and kids who simply dream of becoming athletes. Giving back and extending friendship is written between the lines of this story; a story of kids who play with little, worn-out equipment, without coaches or concession stands, all for the love of the game. Our goal is to raise awareness, raise funds, and motivate everyone to play the game forward. Whether you donate your old equipment, organize a community collection, or donate funds to these dedicated organizations, you will have made a difference to a child. Our team is growing everyday and includes the following supporters:Ken Griffey,Jason Grilli,Craig Biggio,Tommy John,Jack Hanahan,Rob Quinlan,Sean Casey and more!!! Companies like--RAWLINGS,LOUISVILLE SLUGGER,MODELS,AND UPPER DECK ALSO SUPPORT OUT PROJECT.THANKS SO MUCH-PLEASE FORWARD THIS SITE AND IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS -PLEASE E MAIL ----AGOTOTELLUS@AOL.COM

This is a must-read to share with your children. The lessons of this book go far beyond the game of baseball. It will bring you back to a time when baseball possessed an innocence that has been since been lost. Read it alone first so you won't have to explain to your child why there is a tear in your eye. Job well done!

Bill & Kyle thanks so much for creating this great website! I'll continue to spread the word to all friends, family and business contacts. With this project, I've had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people - it has certainly been my gift and proof that there really are some wonderful people left out there.
Remember, I welcome the opportunity to discuss options with any non-profit that might want to join the team behind "A Glove Of Their Own" and remember...continue to "pay it forward".

When I first hear about the book " A Glove Of Their Own" I thought it was just another children's book about baseball and kids playing the game. I was so wrong, this book brings out the little kid in all of us. It also brings out the good that we all have. Bob Salomon and the authors who wrote the book are just what we need in this country today: Good people trying to share a message of love and caring not just their kids but all kids. I also saw this same compassion when I interviewed them on my radio show recently. We need more people like this in our world and maybe we would be in a better place.

Thanks for adding me Bob. Our academy supports Nashville RBI (Reviving Baseball in the Inner-cities) and I commend you for finding a way to help kids out! This is what it's all about and I hope for great success in raising money for kids. Please email me and let me know how I might carry your book for our clients. Many blessings. Mark
