The Premier Baseball Social Network for Players, Coaches, Scouts, and Umpires

You've probably seen one of the many TV shows where people rehab old houses or rebuild old cars and make them look great.  Did you know you can do the same exact thing with your baseball glove?

Quality baseball gloves are expensive and by re-lacing and reconditioning your glove it can add years to one of your prized possessions...  your baseball glove.

CheckSwing is teaming up with Schwindy's Glove Relacing to award one CheckSwing member a full glove restoration. Schwindy will re-lace your glove (1980's model glove or newer) in the lace colors of your choice, recondition the leather and ship the glove back to you in good as new condition.

Here's an example of Schwindy's quality work:  (before then after)

Entering this contest is simple:  Invite friends to join CheckSwing.

For every friend you invite who joins CheckSwing you get an entry to win this great prize. Earn an extra entry by leaving a comment below about your favorite baseball glove and why it's so special to you.

We will pick on winner on March 1, 2016.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone ............ Schwindy here.

No, I no longer have a web page. Due to my Multiple Sclerosis (MS) I have lost my job and now I am on SSDI. I had to remove my web page and :close up shop". But it doesn't mean I can't still do gloves from time to time and throw in a few freebies. I have been doing the same for the churches that have the basket bingos as well as the local athletic clubs when they come looking for a donation.  I am still around and sorry no more photos as my computers hard drive jumped off a cliff and took my flash drive along with it! It was plugged in and that was my back up.
I started doing gloves when I was 15 and I'll be 47 shortly. I have done many, many gloves. I did ask that the glove be a 1980's or newer, due to the older gloves have more wasted lacing as well as more hand lacing involved, and the hands are a little slower than normal. So I am looking to keep it a little easier for myself.

Anyone have any other questions send me an email through CheckSwing and I'll get it and get back to you ASAP. This week we are having work done on the house so I might be a little late in getting back to you, PLEASE give me a few days to do so, I'll be glad to get back to you.

Peace & Love

Can you do a catcher's mitt?

Comment by Tom Schwindy on February 19, 2016 at 8:35am

Yes, and in fact, the winner of the contest can have one glove reconditioned and re-laced. Doesn't matter style or type. Specialty glove or fielders mitt 1980's or newer.

Hello All:

Quick update to the winner's glove. Will it is on it's way to you as of 12 noon today (3/28/16)
Will asked for the re-lacing to be in red CHECK!

He asked for the thumb & Pinky loops to be looked at, repaired, or replaced, CHECK in red as well, I did that he didn't ask. Also when I opened up the glove for re-lacing there was little to NO padding across the fingers area so I added some for him. CHECK! here are some photos!
