Chris Edmondson is a Senior Outfielder for the Le Moyne Dolphins is Syracuse, NY. Chris is one of the best players in the country that you've probably never heard of. In 2008, he was named the Independent Player of the Year and was named to the All-Indy Team. He led the Dolphins with a .357 batting average. He also lead the team with 51 runs, 64 rbi's, 22 doubles, 5 triples and 14 homers.

2009 was more of the same for Chris. He hit .322/.644/.410 in 177 at-bats. He led Le Moyne with 46 rbi's and 13 home runs. He also added 12 doubles last year and scored 32 runs.

He spent this past summer playing for the Keene Swamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He hit .310/.474/.407 in 116 at-bats. He scored 19 runs, drove in 19 and hit 4 home runs for the Bats. He also walked 14 times while only striking out 9 times.

Chris answered four questions for us.

Summer Ball--Who was your favorite baseball player when you were younger?
Chris Edmondson--Ken Griffey Jr. I always liked him because he was a very classy player and was a lefty hitter like me.

SB--What were some of the best things about playing for the Swamp Bats?
CE--The other players I met from around the country. I still talk to some as much as I can from this year and the past year.

SB--In your opinion, who was the toughest pitcher you had to face this past summer?
CE--Mitchell Beacom from Holyoke and UCLA. He is a 6'8" side-arm lefty, and I just couldn't seem to figure him out.

SB--What is your favorite baseball movie?
CE--Bull Durham or Summer Catch.

Thanks Chris and we wish you all the best for this upcoming season.
