Baseball coaching tips of the day.
The post game talk and season ending message is also about the character traits you want kids to learn.
Pride, Effort, Empathy, Courage, Trust, Honesty, Gratitude,Loyalty, Contentment, Humility.
Put together it goes something like this.
“We are proud of you. You gave your best, and that is all we ever ask of you. I hope you feel the same way. If you aren’t sure, that’s OK – as long as you make the choice to give a little more the next time. We must continue to learn from this game and apply our knowledge to the next practice and game. No one expects you to have everything figured out at your age. If you put the same effort into your school work and everything else, you will go a long way in life. Walk out of here with your heads high and enjoy what we have accomplished. Remember, we are here for each other no matter what. The coaches want to thank you and hope you realize how privileged we are to coach you. We will always believe in you.”
