Nothing spectacular in this video but yet I really enjoyed it!!! Just seemed like a great bunch of young men and coaches getting ready for the season. And I very much liked the mentioning that it's about team and building baseball relationships. I feel like rooting for Alton HS and I don't even know them. That's a real nice share there Bill...thanks!

Nice video highlighting this team's work ethic. It's Alton Illinois, for those who, like me, were wondering - the video doesn't clarify, and I had to look up area code 618, which is listed in the credits at the end, to figure it out.

When I was in Middle School, my Dad, a coach, use to take me out of school to go to the State tournament every year with his coaching friends. After a couple of years I noticed, that many of the same teams returned year after year. At a very early age, I always wondered what made them different...why did they keep coming back.

 

This question has stayed with me for several decades. In the ensuing years I have developed a keen awareness of what makes a Perennial Power and how they stay Perennial Powers.

Great video...with HS tryouts this coming up Monday, getting pumped for the spring.  Looks like a real team concept that will pay off in June for these players.
