This clip is part of a new film about the Cape Cod Baseball League ,the very best college wooden bat league in the nation. If you love baseball and quality amature play this is the league. My grand parents hosted the 1931 and 1932 Barnstable team. Eddie Pelligrini, a 12 year MLB player and Boston College coach, was in the group. Over 950 players have gone to MLB from this historied league. Munson,Bagwell,Bordick,Showalter,Utley,Garciaparra,Thomas,Longoria,Bard,Miller,Zito are a few modern named players. Game admission is free and the All Star game this year is at the Harwich field. The opening day is June 13,2012.The peak of play is during late July when teams are solidified and seeking the playoff spots.Tom
